8. Benjamine Vessels (1) was born in 1787 in Homesdel Monmouth New Jersey. Benjamine served in the war of 1812. Served in the 15th Kentucky Militia.

The following is in regards to Benjamin Vessels, his spouse, Nancy (_____) Vessels and children:

By records of the National Archives when Nancy Vessels applyed for the bounty land owed to Benjamin Vessels for service in the War of 1812. In 1852, she declared one time she was married to Benjamin in Maryland and another time she was married to Benjamin in Ky. It also listed the following children as those of hers and Benjamin Vessels.

c. Charles D. Vessels
d. William B. Vessels
e. Nancy (nee Vessels) Purcell (I2305)

We, George Vessels, Alexander Vessels, Charles D. Vessels,
William B. Vessels, and Nancy Purcell, widow of the late William
Purcell now descd. being the children of the within named
Benjamin Vessels do hereby for a valuable consideration transfer
and release and set over to John Rown Love all the right title
and interest which we have in and to the within land warrant and
consent that a patent may issue in his name of Davis _____ our
hand and seals 27 May 1852
