259. John Willie Yates ⁽¹¹⁾ was born on 15 Sep 1915 in Hardin County KY. He died on 22 Jul 1964 in Louisville Ky.. He was buried on 25 Jul 1964 in Calvery Cemetary Louisville, Ky. John Willie was a noted musician and played the guitar, double bass and
the most notably the fiddle. Many days and nights were passed with John
and friends playing "old time" country music in the front yard when
friends and relatives arrived from the city. He was in the Coast Artilery during WWII and was stationed at Seatle Washington. John died of Leukemia in the summer of 1964 after moving to Louisville the previous year from the old Yates farm in Rinyville, Ky.

He was married to Eva Mae Brown (daughter of Joseph Robert (Bob) Brown and Agnes Josephine (Josie) Peak) on 5 Jun 1943 in St. Basil's Church Louisville, Ky. Eva Mae Brown⁽¹¹⁾ was born on 22 Feb 1925 in St. John's, Ky. She died on 24 Aug 2002 in Christopher East Home in Louisville. John Willie Yates and Eva Mae Brown had the following children:
