His obit. from an undated unidentified newspaper pasted in oldtintype photo albumn that belonged to Lizzie May [Patterson]Yates. "John Stader, Sen. Red Hill, July 13. On the 30th of June at his residence in this vicinity, Mr. John Stader, Sen. , died in the 79th year of his age. He was one of the most honorable men I ever knew. He leaves an aged companion and dear children to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband and father. The writer stood by his bedside and saw him pass away as calm as onegoing into a sweet sleep. May Heaven bless his mourning familyand friends." J.E. SHELTON.
