9. Philip Peak

was born in 1794. He died in 1881. Philip Peak was born in Nelson County between
1794 and 1800, from ages
given in census reports of 1850 to 1880. Philip Peake moved his family to
Meade County prior to 1840.
He was married to Mary Ann Spalding (daughter of John Aaron
Spalding and Eleanor Mattingly) on 27 Jun 1825.
Mary Ann Spalding(2)
(1) was born in 1794. She died in 1852.
Philip Peake filed a guardian bond of $1000 as guardian of Philip P.
Nevitt on Feb. 12, 1827, with Michael Spalding as surety. He filed again
as guardian of Philip P. Nevitt on Feb. 8, 1836, with Joseph Nevitt
signing the bond. Both bonds are recorded in Nelson County under NEVITT,
Richard. Philip Peake moved his family to Meade County prior to 1840. Philip
Peak and Mary Ann Spalding had the following children:

Elizabeth Peak(2)
(1) was born in 1835. She died on 16 Sep 1844. He was married to
Rosella Flagherty (daughter of Martin Flagherty and
Judy Flagherty) on 19 Mar 1854. Rosella Flagherty
(2)(1)
died in 1855.
Rosella Peak died soon after marrying Philip Peak, possibly in childbirth Philip
Peak and Rosella Flagherty had the following children:

Mary Newton on 14 Oct 1856. Mary Newton
